278 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine J ames F. “Jim” Morgan is the managing partner for Morgan, Herring, Morgan, Green & Rosenblutt, specializing in personal injury, probate, wills, trials and zoning and governmental relations. After graduating from law school, he was admitted to the North Carolina Bar and the United States Middle District of North Carolina. He served three terms in the North Carolina House of Representatives and has served as chairman or president of over 75 organizations, including the North Carolina Jaycees, Metropolitan Chambers of Commerce, United Way of North Carolina and North Carolina Commission on Legal Aid. Mr. Morgan has served as chairman of regional organizations such as the Guilford Legislative Delegation, Guilford Technical Community College, High Point Regional Health Systems Board of Trustees, Alcohol and Drug Services of Guilford, Guilford Technical Community College Foundation, Triad Chambers of Commerce, High Point District of the Methodist Church, High Point Area Arts Council, YMCA Metro Board and South Field Committee, YMCA Trustees and Salvation Army. Likewise, he served as chairman of such building projects as the High Point Country Club, Restoration of the High Point Train Depot, Hospice Home of High Point, Spirit Center Home of the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, and purchase of the Cultural Arts Center for the High Point Arts Council. Mr. Morgan was named Young Man of the Year and one of the Five Outstanding Young Men in North Carolina, being the only individual to be recognized twice. He also earned the Linn B. Garibaldi Award as best local Jaycee president and Clayton Forest Award as the best state Jaycee president, and was named Legislator of the Year by Governor Jim Hunt. He received the North Carolina/High Point Bar Centennial Award and the I. Beverly Lake Public Service Award. Furthermore, he was recognized as High Point Enterprise Citizen of the Year and earned the High Point University Distinguished Service to Community Award and the High Point Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Citizens Award.
