279 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine State University led him to obtain a JD from the Detroit College of Law (now the Michigan State University College of Law) in 1954. In 1955, Mr. Morganroth spearheaded his practice Morganroth & Morganroth, PLLC in Birmingham, Michigan, where he still practices today. As a founding partner of Morganroth & Morganroth, PLLC, which focuses on civil and criminal litigation, Mr. Morganroth has been inducted into the International Association of Top Professionals Hall of Fame for his Outstanding Leadership and Commitment to the Legal Industry. Additionally, he has been named an AV Preeminent Lawyer by Martindale- Hubbell, a New York Top Trial Lawyer by the National Trial of Lawyers, and a Distinguished Lawyer by the Michigan State College of Law. He has also been named to the American Academy of Trial Attorneys’ Top 100 and North America’s Top Attorneys. Mr. Morganroth attributes his success to his diligent work ethic. In five years’ time, he aims to ensure that the firm continues to achieve justice for their clients, and he also hopes to continue dabbling as an entertainment industry consultant for films. Looking back on his 60- year career, Mr. Morganroth calls the acquittals of John DeLorean and Dr. Jack Kevorkian the highlight of his career, in addition to his marriage of more than 60 years to his wife, Sheila. Mr. Morganroth is a member of the American Association for Justice, Federal Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Judicature Society, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Oakland County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and Supreme Court Historical Society. He also sits on the board of trustees of the Michigan State University College of Law. The advice that he can offer to prospective lawyers is to be prepared, build relationships, never lie and do not misrepresent yourself. P rior to his college years, Mayer Morganroth began his service with the U.S. Navy in 1948 when he was 17 years old. Once completing his service two years later, Mr. Morganroth began studying pre-med, but eventually found his true interest in law.
