281 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine A respected scholar, James A. Rosenstein received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Harvard University in 1961 before serving four years in the United States Navy, rising to the rank of Lieutenant. He returned to Harvard University after his service and obtained a JD in 1968. That same year, he was admitted to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Mr. Rosenstein started his law career as an associate at Wolf, Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen in 1968. He served in this role for eight years before being promoted to partner, in which capacity he worked until 1997. From 1997 to 2018, Mr. Rosenstein was principal at the mediation firm of Rosenstein Associates, and from 2009 until his retirement in 2019, he served of counsel for Fineman, Krekstein & Harris, PC. Looking ahead, Mr. Rosenstein hopes to spend more time with his daughter, son-in-law and grandsons and travel to more destinations with his wife. With his new free time, he also enjoys hiking, reading and playing tennis. Notably, Mr. Rosenstein has been recognized for his successful endeavors in both law and Jewish representation. In 2013, he was the recipient of the American Jewish Committee of Greater Philadelphia Chapter’s Human Relations Award, and in 1973, he took home the Meyer and Rosaline Feinstein Young Leadership Award from the Federation of Jewish Agencies of Greater Philadelphia. Additionally, in 2007, he was granted the Association for Conflict Resolution’s Presidential Award and the Pennsylvania Council of Mediator’s Most Valuable Peacemaker Award. Mr. Rosenstein also holds the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s 2010 Sir Francis Bacon Dispute Resolution Award and the 1983 Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Rosenstein is a retired member of the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations; American College of Real Estate Lawyers; Jewish Federations of North America; and American Jewish Committee. He has also sat on the board of directors for the Association for Conflict Resolution and Pennsylvania Council of Mediators, and is past president of The Philadelphian Owners’ Association. JAMES A.
