Overturning a Treasury Regulation that imposed unlawful limitations on transfers to charitable trusts is a highlight of his career. Mr. Williams is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and certified as a trust and estate specialist. He is admitted to practice in the State of Indiana, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the U.S. Tax Court. A founding partner of Shambaugh Kast Beck &Williams LLP in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he is currently of counsel. Prior to the 1980 formation of the firm, he was a partner of Pichon &Williams and served as trust counsel for Lincoln National Bank and Trust Company of Fort Wayne.
