288 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine CECIL E. MOSES C ecil E. Moses grew up with great respect and admiration for law enforcement, and when a recruiter from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) visited his high school, he applied for a bureau position. Starting off as a fingerprint clerk, Mr. Moses went to obtain a BBA in personal management and labor law from Kent State University and Cleveland State University. He then returned to the FBI and served as a special agent-in-charge from 1969 to 1989. After his tenure with the FBI, Mr. Moses served as a police chief of the Madison Police Department in Alabama from 1990 to 2000. Since 2000, Mr. Moses has been a principal partner and president of The Moses Group LLC, in addition to establishing a farm with Black Angus cattle and 30 Tennessee Walking horses. Mr. Moses is a chairman and founding member of the Alabama Law Enforcement Technology Alliance and Drugs Offer No Tomorrow (DON’T) Program, Inc. He is also a past president and founding member of the Alabama chapter of the Federal Executives Association. In 1998, he was named Police Officer of the Year by Sons of the American Revolution. Mistretta received a BA in history from Louisiana State University in 1996 and later achieved a JD from the Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2003. She has served as a partner of Strauch Green & Mistretta, PC, since 2013. Specializing in environmental law, Ms. Mistretta commenced her career in 2003 as an attorney for Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge & Rice, PLLC. In 2010, she was promoted to partner at Strauch Fitzgerald & Green, PC, before joining Strauch, Green & Mistretta, which she aims to double in size in five years’ time. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, American Bar Association and Wake County Bar Association. Ms. Mistretta is an AV Preeminent Attorney by Martindale-Hubbell and was named to Best Lawyers in Family Law in 2019 and 2020.
