Nawaz is the president, chief executive officer, educator, research scientist and founder of Ideal Pharmaceutical Alliance, a platform for researchers, scientists, genetic engineers, academics, government agencies and industry professionals from across the globe to present their research results and development activities. Backed by more than two decades of work in science and microbiology labs, Dr. Nawaz is known for her research in protein chemistry, including her elucidation of primary structures by using various techniques and methods, analyses of amino acids and peptides and sequencing of proteins in peptides forms. She has published papers in numerous international journals and has presented at multiple international conferences. Dr. Nawaz’s personal definition of success is reaching a point in your life and career in which your heart is satisfied, and she confidently states that she has reached that point. In 2016, Dr. Nawaz was recognized for Consistent Excellence in the Pharmaceutical Industry by the International Women’s Leadership Association and was named to Women of Outstanding Leadership in 2013. She also received a Continental Award for Outstanding Leadership from the Continental’s Leadership Association in 2014. Dr. Nawaz received a diploma in pharmaceutical research and development from the Toronto Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology in Canada and an MS in organic chemistry from the Hussain Ebrahim Jamal Research Institute of Chemistry in Pakistan. In 1993, she obtained a PhD in protein chemistry from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. Alongside her work, Dr. Nawaz is working on developing her foundation, the Dr. Alia Healthcare Inc. Foundation. Devoted to the mission to help the poor, the foundation will cover health care and offer them better facilities for treatment. In the future, she also plans to continue working on projects within the medical, hospital and pharmaceutical fields.
