110 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine G rowing up in the town of Fort Edward, New York, Michael J. Nadeau sought to pursue a life in New York City, and in 1975, he moved to Manhattan. Through his entry level job at a steamship company, he was sent to college and later received an AA in English, with honors, from the Borough of Manhattan Community College in 1992. From 1977 to 1981, Mr. Nadeau had been a student of Eli Siegel’s Aesthetic Realism, where he learned how to like the world through seeing it as a oneness of opposites. He feels he has been successful in his life and career because of what he learned through Aesthetic Realism, as it taught him how to like the world on an honest basis. He also likes to think that as life went on, he grew through all the trials he met along the way. Prior to his 2005 retirement, Mr. Nadeau served as a staff assistant at the Wanaque Academic Center at Passaic County Community College in Paterson, New Jersey. He had also been with the community college as a college service assistant from 1993 to 1999. He spent 18 years from 1975 to 1993 as a purchasing agent for Maersk, Inc. In the earlier years of his career, he was also a clerk at Continental Insurance Co. and an orderly at Glens Falls Hospital. Outside of his career, Mr. Nadeau embraced his artistic mind and spent two years as an actor and singer, working with blind performers through the Elbee Audio Players in New York City. He is also the author of the 1993 work, “The Adventures of Prudence Longface.” A member of the American Legion, Mr. Nadeau served with the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1970. The words of advice he can offer to young professionals is to start working early. He continues that the younger you are, the more energy you have, and are more willing to try a plethora of opportunities. A celebrated Marquis listee, he was highlighted in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World. MICHAEL J.
