MENEELY, BHSE, RN, CPN D esiring to provide opportunities to support, educate and care for children and adults from all socioeconomic levels in multiple arenas, Debra K. Meneely is a distinguished certified pediatric nurse with several decades of experience to her credit. A pediatric complex case manager at MDwise, Inc., in Indianapolis, she has previously served such institutions as Wishard Memorial Hospital, the Clarion/IU Solid Organ Transplant Center, and the J. Everett Light Career Center for Women and Children’s Services. Holding a diploma from Copley Memorial Hospital and BS in health education from Indiana University, Ms. Meneely is the recipient of the Ritter-Severns Legacy Award and participated in a support group regarding craniofacial abnormalities. She was recognized by the Indiana University School of Obstetrics and Gynecology for excellence in nursing. Maintaining membership with the Case Management Society of America, Ms. Meneely attributes her success to her ability to educate others in a non-threatening environment. As a parent with personal experiences with children born with medical differences, she notes that her experience has allowed her to have greater empathy. B everly McDonald Miller is a certified geriatric nurse practitioner, clinical specialist and health education specialist who amassed nearly five decades of experience in the nursing industry. Hired by the Memphis Veterans Affairs Hospital in Tennessee in 1981 as a staff nurse, she notably remained with the hospital for the entirety of her career. In 1986, she was promoted to clinical specialist and in 1988, a clinical specialist of staff development. From 1988 to 1995, she was a patient health education coordinator, and from 1995 until her retirement in 2008, she was a geriatric nurse practitioner. Enjoying helping others from a young age, Ms. Miller was a presenter at the International Nursing Conference and has contributed several research articles to peer-reviewed medical journals. In addition, she is a past president of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and formerly served on the board of directors of the Tennessee Nurses Association. In light of her outstanding contribution to nursing, Ms. Miller was named among Excellent 11 Top Nurses in Shelby and Fayette Counties, and she earned the Administrator’s Award for Excellence in Nursing and West Tennessee Employee Award.
