Harris specialized in housing and urban development, real estate and finance, business transition, and family business and estate planning. He joined the Stolar Partnership in 1961, retiring as emeritus chairman in 2014, and continued an additional five years in private practice. He was counsel for such redevelopment projects as Skinker DeBaliviere, Convention Plaza, Washington Avenue and Gateway Mall. Mr. Harris is a former board chair of the Bi-State Metropolitan Transit Authority (Metro), the Barnes-Jewish College of Nursing and the Saint Louis chapter of the American Red Cross. He is an emeritus board member of Barnes-JewishHospital, a former commissioner of theSt. Louis Science Center and a former board member of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. A past president of the St. Louis Jewish Federation, for which he served as counsel for over 35 years, he was a founding partner in Fox Associates and won three Tony Awards for Broadway shows. Mr. Harris graduated magna cum laude in economics from Harvard University and graduated from Harvard Law School in 1961.
