Larry Stine focuses his practice on labor and employment law. Renowned for his expertise in OSHA, wage and hour laws, including the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Work Protection Act, he also specializes in litigation prevention through counseling, compliance audits and training. Prior to his current post, Mr. Stine served as a Regional IV counsel for OSHA in the Office of the Solicitor for the U.S. Department of Labor. Demonstrating versatility, he co-authored “Wage and Hour Law: Compliance and Practice” in 1995 and “Occupational Safety and Health Law: Compliance and Practice” in 2008. Drawing upon a JD from the University of Georgia, where he graduated cum laude in 1975, Mr. Stine is most well-known for his negotiated settlement of the largest OSHA case in history to date, which included 5,000 citations. Weil retired in 2015. Prior to his retirement, he was a shareholder at Moss & Barnett, P.A., in Minneapolis from 1994 to 2015. Previously, he was a shareholder/partner at O’Connor & Hannan, Peterson, Franke & Riach and Zohlman &Weil. He started his career as an associate at J.R. Kotts & Associates, and subsequently at Wagner, Rutchick and Trojack. Mr. Weil obtained a BA from Stony Brook University and a JD, cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law. He was chairman of the bankruptcy section of the Minnesota State Bar Association and served on the American Bar Association’s commercial fraud task force.
