182 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS L ucy Ann Alexander Centafont is a noteworthy medical professional who has accrued several decades of experience to her credit. Gradu- ating from Slippery Rock University with a BS in health education in 1975, she notably was a member of Cwens, a national women’s hon- orary society, and Eta Sigma Gamma, a health education honorary society. Earning a second BS in occupational therapy fromTemple University in 1977, she went on to return to Temple and graduate with an MS in 1987. For several years, Ms. Centafont has served as an occupational therapist and consultant in her own private practice in Southampton, Pennsylvania. Previously, she was chief of occupational therapy for Rolling Hill Hospital, director of occupational therapy for the Community Foundation for Human Development and occupational therapy consultant for the ARC of Bucks County. She commenced her career as a staff occupational therapist for Easter Fields in Montgomery County. A former leaderof theGirl Scoutsof theUnitedStatesof America for 12years, Ms. Centafont currently serves as chair of several committees, including the Centennial Spirit Service Unit, who awarded her the Outstanding Volunteer Award in 2016. Likewise, she established the Children’s Bell Choir at the Church of the Redemption in 2014 and has been an alter server since 2010. She has been the director of the adult choir at her church since 1999, having also been director of the junior choir from 2000 to 2014. Highlighted in several editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women, Ms. Centafont advises future generations of health care professionals to demonstrate passion in their industry. Mentored by such figures as Helen Hopkins at Temple University, Elizabeth Tiffany and Margaret Dobbs, she was taught how to be rigorous in all of her endeavors. A member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Ms. Centafont is also affiliated with the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association. Notably, she sat on their developmental disabilities special interest group and the administrative school system special interest group.
