In 2007, he received a doctorate in health administration and leadership from the Medical College of South Carolina. In recognition of his military success, Dr. Edward received a Bronze Star for his work in Baghdad and a Superior Service Medal from the U.S. Department of Defense. Likewise, he was named a Young Healthcare Administrator of the Year and Healthcare Executive of the Year. He attributes his success to his knowledge he gained from mentors, having a well-rounded education and garnering experience working under the tutelage of prominent leaders in health care. Born in Cairo, Dr. Edward speaks seven languages, including English, French, Arabic, Italian and Portuguese. Boasting intelligence from a young age, he received an early advanced degree in health care at the age of 16. Realizing his parents’ sacrifices upon immigrating to the United States, he has always done his best to excel and make his parents proud. Married to his wife, Kristine Edward, for many years, Dr. Edward desires to return to the UAE to operate more hospitals in five years’ time. Specializing in health care administration and health care policy, Dr. A. Adolphe Edward has been the chief executive officer of the El Centro Regional Medical Center in California since 2016. Drawing upon more than 30 years of experience in health care, he formerly spent much time in the U.S. Air Force, where he was a career officer from 1990 to 2012. During his time in the military, DR.
