Hutson served as a music educator for Texas high schools prior to embarking on his current journey in retirement and insurance management. A retirement and insurance advisor since 2001, he previously served as a band director for the River Road ISD, where he was also the Fine Arts Department chair for nearly 20 years., he was director of bands for Levelland ISD for 11 years. An alumnus of West Texas State University, Mr. Hutson studied music education, derived from his early passion for music. He considers a highlight of his career to be when his high school band played for the White House, and he continues to play music for nursing homes. Although retired from music education since 2001, he continued his career in financial management out of his innate ability to manage budgets. Mr. Hutson is a past grand knight of the Amarillo Council of Knights of Columbus and has been region president of the Texas Music Educators Association since 1996. He was the winner of the 2018 Torch Award for Ethics by the Better Business Bureau of the Texas Panhandle. RETIREMENT AND INSURANCE ADVISOR, MUSIC EDUCATOR (RETIRED) Amarillo, TX G raduating summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo with a BA in economics in 1975, Diana J. Landes attended the Columbia Business School, where she earned an MBA in 1977. Since obtaining her formal education, she has acquired a wealth of knowledge in insurance, including group health and group long-term disability insurance, business owners insurance, cooperative and renters’ insurance, and life insurance. A former product director of Johnson & Johnson, Ms. Landes is the current president of D&L Landes Company in New York City. Trained by her father, she worked for her father’s firm for a decade. In her current role, she is responsible for managing sales of cooperative apartment and renters’ insurance, as well as assisting clients with group health, property and casualty business insurance. She is now semi-retired. She cites a highlight of her career to be representing her father’s client as a member of the Church Medical Insurance Committee. The recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, Ms. Landes maintained involvement with the Columbia Business School Alumni Club of New York, the University at Buffalo Alumni Association and the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce.
