WEBSTER, PHD S upported by a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic studies, with honors, from the University of Liverpool, Master of Arts in Spanish from the University of Nottingham and PhD in Spanish from the University of Toronto, Dr. Jill R. Webster has held the title of professor emeritus at the University of Toronto since 1995 after spending 27 years in academia. Hired by her alma mater as a professor in 1968, she also served as an associate dean for three years, director of the Center for Medieval Studies for 15 years, and graduate chair of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese for one year. The author of “Carmel in Medieval Catalonia (Medieval Mediterranean: Peoples, Economies and Cultures, 400-1500)” from 1999, Dr. Webster draws upon a deep love and appreciation for the language and culture of Spain. She considers herself fortunate to have had the opportunity to pursue a career in a subject she has always admired. She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, past president of the American Academy of Research Historians of Medieval Spain and member of the American History Association. Born in London to parents Harold James and Dora Elena Webster in 1931, Dr. Webster currently resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I nspired to enter academia due to the influence of his parents, who were both educators in China, Dr. Mengbai Zhong has been serving as the administrative dean and director of admissions at Clarewood University since 2014. Prior to this appointment, he was a consultant in culture and language at the University of Maryland, as well as an assistant professor within the School of Journalism at Hong Kong Shue Yan University. Earlier in his career, Dr. Zhong held numerous positions as a journalist in his native China. Drawing upon a Bachelor of Journalism and Master of Arts in journalism and mass communication, both from the Renmin University of China, Dr. Zhong also holds a PhD in journalism and mass communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1997. He has maintained affiliation with the American Association for Public Opinion Research and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. Among the highlights of his career, Dr. Zhong considers developing the university as founding dean as a career achievement. Looking toward the future, he intends to further the growth and development of Clarewood University, as well as recruit more international students. MENGBAI ZHONG, PHD
