CAI Investments finances, develops and manages commercial and residential properties across key markets in the United States. It is a fully integrated company that operates publicly traded brands like Westin/Marriot, Kimpton, Starbucks, Del Taco, among others, with approximately 450 employees founded by Christopher Beavor, the CEO of the real-estate development process. In her position, Ms. Asuncion is responsible for external financial and management reporting, as well as corporate accounting, risk management, and support of corporate financial planning and analysis functions. She also spearheads financial decisions through the establishment, monitoring and enforcement of company policies and procedures. At the inception of her career, Ms. Asuncion was the Controller and the Chief Financial Officer of Innovative Real Estate from 1998 to 2012, where she was responsible for Innovative Real Estate’s financial position, oversaw development of cash flow, and evaluated and monitored operational issues. Prior to her real estate roles, she served as a registered nurse in the Philippines and holds a BSN from Saint Louis University. In 1994, she was honored as Best Nurse in the Hospital in Singapore. Ms. Asuncion considers getting an MBA accredited by an American University to be a crowning achievement. Requiring an MBA equivalent degree in order to advance within her positions, she overcame several hurdles. She had emigrated from the Philippines to the United States in 1998. Attributing her success to her determination to see her company grow, Ms. Asuncion has demonstrated continual success, which has been the sole reason for her career growth. She was mentored by the CEO at Innovative Real Estate, Richard Stromberg, who encouraged her to pursue her goals. Looking toward the future, she intends to continue working for CAI Investments and be the integral part of the company’s growth.
