121 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENERGY, ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING From 1998 to 1999, Ms. Kleinschnitz was a technical writer for Management Technology, Inc., and an instructor at the Institute for Business and Medical Careers in 1997. Prior, she was a technical writer for Computer Data Systems, Inc., from 1993 to 1997, a training specialist for Advanced Data Concepts from 1991 to 1993, and a documentation specialist for Q.C. Data, Inc., from 1987 to 1991. Ms. Kleinschnitz holds additional experience as a customer support manager at Energy Systems Technology from 1983 to 1986 and supervisor of log processing at Scientific Software-Intercomp from 1976 to 1982. Furthermore, she has served as a consultant to Technology Log Analysis and Energy Systems Technology. Throughout her career, Ms. Kleinschnitz is proud of her years with Schlumberger Well Services and being their highest paid woman employee in the western region. Working with bright colleagues and advanced equipment, she thrived in the environment, which furthered her passion for the profession. She thanks her mentor, Donald G. Davis, for his constant motivation and inspiration. In five years’ time, Ms. Kleinschnitz plans to travel and work, as long as she is able to continue doing her best work. In her free time, Ms. Kleinschnitz enjoys racquetball, swimming and browsing the internet. She is a member of the National Organization of Women, National Association of Female Executives, Association of Women Geoscientists, Society of Professional Well Log Analysts, the Denver Well Log Society, and she was a volunteer with the Denver Police Reserve. She calls her involvement with the Denver Well Log Society to be her greatest professional achievement; she served as president from 1988 to 1989 and proudly hosted the 1989 SPWLA Symposium in Denver. D etermined to land a job that was working on the cutting edge, Barbara Joy Kleinschnitz had her sights set on the oil industry. Backed by a BBA from the University of Denver from 1983, as well as initial studies at the Colorado Women’s College, she took on her first position as a leadwith Schlumberger Well Services from 1968 to 1976.
