13 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARCHITECTURE, CONSTRUCTION AND REAL ESTATE W orking summers in the family business, Josh Chandler was in- troduced to the cabinet manufac- turing industry from an early age. During his undergraduate stud- ies at Tarleton State University, he learned the potential of the industry and applied his skills in drafting to Chandler Cabinets in Pilot Point, Texas. Working as a draftsman and installation manager from 1997 to 2003, he was promoted to chief designer and business developer in 2004, a role he maintained until 2013. Since 2014, he has served as chief executive officer. In that time, the business blossomed from 10 employees to 250 employees and remains one of the largest cabinet companies in the state of Texas. Certified in kitchen and bath, Mr. Chandler maintains membership with the Cabinet Makers Association, the Home Builders Association, and the Kitchen and Bath Association. He attributes his success to the knowledge his father passed down to him, as well as his own sense of innovation. He notes that the biggest asset he brought to the company was his drafting abilities via the computer as opposed to manual drafting that his father learned. As a testament to his and Chandler Cabinets’ success, Mr. Chandler and Chandler Cabinets was named among “Best Library Over 5000,” “Best Kitchen Over 5000” and “Best Closet Over 5000.” Philanthropically involved as well, Mr. Chandler enjoys dedicating his time to charity events, including the Mainegate Organization and Emmitt Smith Charity. He also involves himself in real estate matters. The proud father of three children – Josh, Jett and Victoria – Mr. Chandler currently resides in Pilot Point. Looking toward the future of Chandler Cabinets, he intends to continue building a new factory for the company, which will generate further growth and revenue.
