131 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENERGY, ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING B eginning his career at the age of 20, Michael Symbala worked in a steel mill, introducing him to the art of manufacturing. While pursuing this venture, he took up the hobby of fixing small engines and reloading ammunition. Shortly after the steel mill shut down, he decided to turn his hobby into a newfound profession, noting that there were several businesses in repairing small engines, but no businesses in repairing and creating ammunition for handguns. Therefore, he founded his own company in 1985, later to be known as Mastercast Bullet Company, LLC. Impressively, the company started in the basement of his house before becoming the booming business it is recognized as today. Currently, Mr. Symbala serves as president and chief executive officer. With more than 35 years in business, Mastercast Bullet specializes in the reloading of handgun cartridges and casting handgun bullets. The casting is done on magma machinery, and the company offers hard cast bullets in most of the popular handgun calibers. Additionally, Mastercast Bullet carries Total Cooper Jacket bullets, manufactured by Berry’s Manufacturing. Mr. Symbala himself boasts more than 55 years of experience in total, rendering him a practical and efficient figure within the field of manufacturing. Attributing his success to hard work, his dedication to his customers and his desire to always do right by others, he is proud of turning a hobby into a worthwhile career. Alongside his professional endeavors, Mr. Symbala also donates to the St. Joseph Indian School and spends time volunteering with the Salvation Army. Likewise, he is passionate about the treatment of Vietnam War veterans and often donates to their causes. Looking toward the future, Mr. Symbala intends to experience the continued growth and business of his company, as well as ease into a well-deserved retirement over time. Married to his late wife, Kate, for nearly 50 years, he also has two beagle dogs, McGee II and Rozy. In his spare time, he enjoys grilling and is a past hunter.
