145 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENTREPRENEURS A s president and owner of Murray Plumbing Co., LLC, in San Antonio, Shawn Murray oversees all business operations of the company, having inherited it from his grandfather. A family- owned business, Murray Plumbing consists of several employees, including Mr. Murray’s parents and siblings. Since attaining the positions of president and owner in 2017, Murray Plumbing has doubled in size. Prior to taking over the business, Mr. Murray was a key executive and general manager. Drawing upon a Bachelor of Business Administration from Midwestern State University, Mr. Murray initially was interested in engineering. However, upon the suggestion of several friends who were attending school for business, Mr. Murray decided to enter the field of business management. Notably, he has been business-savvy from a formative age, having taken part in playful business deals with his older siblings. As an up-and-coming professional in the field, Mr. Murray attributes his success to his family’s support and the encouragement from his college professors. In addition, he accrued his business acumen from his grandfather, who taught him great values and a strong work ethic that Mr. Murray still carries today. Impressively, he took control of the family business directly after graduating from college. A member of the American Subcontractors Association, Mr. Murray hopes to come across more opportunities to grow Murray Plumbing and attain even greater success.
