150 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENTREPRENEURS J ames B. Hooven II, a noted remodeling company executive, founded Northern Lights Exteriors in 2001, serving as president until 2009. Now the owner of the family-owned business, Mr. Hooven has established a prominent name for himself and the company. Northern Lights Exteriors was named the “Best Roofer” and received a Qualified Re-Modeler Customer Service Award, both in 2019. Specializing in roofing, siding and windows, Northern Lights Exteriors has grown to become one of the largest remodeling companies in Colorado, as well as one of the top Denver commercial roofing companies. Mr. Hooven graduated from the University of Georgia in 1998 and maintains membership with the Colorado Roofing Association. In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering with the Longmont Baseball League, Habitat for Humanity, St. Vrain Longmont Indoor Soccer, and Selkirk Outdoor Leadership and Education. Looking toward the future, Mr. Hooven intends to expand the business from an innovative and technological standpoint, using new products and green technology that can be more sustainable for the future. Mr. Hooven is married and has two children. Muto spearheaded K9 Connection Training, Daycare and Grooming, Inc., in Buffalo, New York. Focused on the rehabilitation of canines who exhibit behavioral problems, Mr. Muto and his team are renowned for their success even when all other resources have been exhausted. Dealing primarily with aggressive or fearful canines, Mr. Muto attributes his success to his high level of compassion towards both the dogs and their owners. Alongside donating countless hours to area dog rescues to help ensure adoptability for challenging dogs, Mr. Muto has contributed over 100 videos on YouTube to share his wealth of knowledge of the field, as well as founded an educational website called Consider The Dog. A past two-year president and four-year vice president of the International Association of Canine Professionals, he has received the 2012 Young Entrepreneur Award from the Buffalo chapter of the Small Business Association, as well as the 2014 President’s Award from the International Association of Canine Professionals. Mr. Muto suggests that future generations of professionals should remain humble and keep themselves open to continual education.
