JAMES C. FETTERMAN D r. James C. Fetterman has had a diversified background in law, academia and the military. A cadet sergeant in the Civil Air Patrol, the U.S. Air Force auxiliary, he achieved the rank of captain by 1972 and retired in 2004 as a colonel. While in the Civil Air Patrol, he became interested in law due to witnessing injustice. He also became interested in aviation, partly due to the influence of his adoptive father, and worked as a commercial pilot. Drawing upon a BA and MA from Mississippi State University, JD from the University of Mississippi, MBA from St. Louis University and DBA in accounting from Argosy University, Dr. Fetterman has been an adjunct professor at South University since 2010. A prior educator at King University, Everglades University and Jackson State University, he also served as attorney or partner at myriad law firms. Dr. Fetterman is a past East Tennessee chapter president of the Military Officer’s Association and past Sarasota chapter president of the Air Force Association. He received the Distinguished Commissioner from the Boy Scouts and the BSA Silver Beaver Award and Outstanding Mobilization Augmentee from the Air Force JAG Department. D rawing upon a BS in mathematics from Iowa State University and postgraduate studies at Manhattanville College, Pace University and the University of Minnesota, Karen Lee Anderson Ricklefs has worked as senior consultant and co-founder of Quality Associates International in partnership with her husband, Merlin. Established in 1991, her company has attained an international reputation in quality and performance improvement for higher education and business executives across the U.S. and Asia. Previously a mathematics teacher in New York and Minnesota, Ms. Ricklefs has served as president, board member and/or founder of Olmsted Community Hospital, Rochester Area Intergovernmental Council, Rochester Foundation of Educational Excellence, Minnesota Partnership for Quality, Rochester Public Schools Board, Rotary District 5960 Co-chair for Literacy, American Association of University Women and Minnesota Environmental Education Council. Ms. Ricklefs was highlighted in “Taking the Lead: Rochester Woman in Public Policy, 1970-1990” by the League of Women Voters in 2012. She received a 1974 Good Citizenship Award from the City of Rochester and was named a 1975 Outstanding School Board Member. KAREN LEE ANDERSON RICKLEFS
