Fried is an advisor and consultant with JMF Advisors, LLC, in Lewes, Delaware. Entering the consulting and health care industries in light of his desire to help and benefit others, he previously worked as president and chief executive officer of the Beebe Medical Center in Lewes from 1995 to 2019, of which he is proud to have transformed to a system that has significantly improved access to the local community. Previously, Mr. Fried served as senior vice president, vice president, chief operating officer and assistant vice president of Lancaster General Hospital; president of Lancaster General Services Corporation; assistant vice president of Sinai Hospital in Baltimore; and assistant to the president of Research Health Services in Kansas City, Missouri. He commenced his career in 1979 as an administrative assistant for the Research Medical Center in Kansas City. Mr. Fried holds a bachelor’s degree in general studies from the University of Kansas and a master’s degree in health care administration fromWashington University in St. Louis. A fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, he also dedicates his time to academia as an assistant professor at Lebanon Valley College, member of the MBA program advisory board at Wilmington College, and former part-time faculty in the Department of Health Administration and Development at Pennsylvania State University. Maintaining affiliation with myriad organizations, Mr. Fried has been the president of the Lewes Chamber of Commerce since 2003, for whomhe served as vice president from2001 to 2003. Likewise, he is amember of the Institute for Healthcare, American Hospital Association, Lancaster County Business Group onHealth and Central Pennsylvania Health Care Administrators, among others. In recognition of his outstanding achievements in health care and leadership, Mr. Fried received the Top Leadership Team Award from Health Leaders Magazine and Grassroots Leadership Award from the Delaware Healthcare Association in 2006. Additionally, he earned the 2006 Senior Level Healthcare Executive Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives and 2006 Senior Leadership Award for the state of Delaware from the Delaware Healthcare Association.
