Kantor completed an internship, residency in internal medicine and fellowship in nephrology at Drexel University’s Hahnemann University Hospital. Certified in nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he is licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Nevada. Commencing his medical career in 2003, Dr. Kantor first served as a nephrologist at West Alabama Nephrology while also teaching at the University of Alabama’s College of Community Health Sciences for two years. From 2005 to 2007, he was a nephrologist and internal medicine specialist at the East Georgia Kidney & Hypertension Group, having thereafter served the Red Rock Medical Group as medical director and nephrologist for the following six years. A medical director of numerous more clinics and facilities during his tenure, Dr. Kantor began serving as a nephrologist at the Nevada Kidney Disease & Hypertension Centers in 2013. Dr. Kantor was attracted to nephrology while doing his rotations in medical school in various specialties. Hailing from a lineage of physicians, he says that his grandfather, father and brothers are all physicians. Noting that nephrology has combined different areas of medicine and science, he has been involved in over five research studies, and has been a member of multiple speaker bureaus and a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry. Impressively, he is renowned for being a diligent worker, contributing his time to his practice for 12 consecutive days per month without breaks and occasionally working for 34 hours over the course of two days. In recognition of his success, Dr. Kantor was named a Top Nephrologist by Vegas Inc. Magazine in 2015 and 2016. He has maintained affiliation with the American Medical Association and American Society of Nephrology, and notably has hosted a diabetes radio talk show and is a speaker in seminars in diabetes.
