Remaining with Pleasure Ridge Primary Care from 1990 to 2008, where he also served as clinical director of laboratory services, Dr. Shpilberg went on to serve as a managing partner of Dixie Primary Care between 2008 and 2010. Since 2010, he has been a physician at Norton Community Medical Associates, and since 2019, a director and principal investigator in diabetes research for Norton Healthcare. Lending his expertise to academia, he has also been faculty at Indiana Wesleyan University since 2015 and the University of Kentucky in Lexington since 2003. Dr. Shpilberg is board certified in family practice and ambulatory medicine, and is licensed to practice in Arizona and Kentucky. A lecturer in the field regarding such topics as controlled substance regulations, electronic documentation, psychiatric disorders, hormone and receptor blockers, and hypertension, he has also been appointed to the clinical advisory boards of numerous pharmaceutical companies and health care facilities. Maintaining affiliation with the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine, the Southern Association of Family Practitioners, the American Medical Association and the Kentucky Medical Association, Dr. Shpilberg has received three Most Compassionate Physician Awards from Healthgrades and over 20 Physician Recognition Awards from the American Medical Association. Dr. Shpilberg enjoys hiking and has hiked four fourteeners in the Colorado Mountains with his wife, which he notes has been a beautiful experience. He has also cycled throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada. D r. Victor James Shpilberg boasts an innate fascination with the physiology of humankind, and coupled with his familial environment of medicine growing up, he desired to enter the health care industry.
