She has volunteered with various fundraisers, including the American Heart Association and Alzheimer’s Association, and in various schools. She is a published author of articles regarding ergonomics and work injury management. Ms. Stormer received a Woman of the Year Award from the National Association of Professional Women in 2011-2012. Infinity Rehab bestowed upon her the Shining Star Award in 2008. She was highlighted on CUTV News Radio for her noteworthy achievements in Occupational Therapy. I nterested in pursuing occupational therapy from a young age, Carol A. Stormer currently serves as an Occupational Therapist at Independence Rehab, Inc., in the greater Twin Falls area of Idaho, attaining her position in 2020. Prior to this role, she was employed at such facilities as Infinity Rehab and Providence Health System. Earning a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and graduating with distinction from Colorado State University (CSU) in 1987 with minors in Anatomical Sciences and Human Development, Ms. Stormer was a Pi Theta Epsilon inductee, an honorary association for OT Students at CSU. She completed her internships at Northwest Hospital and Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, and at the Colorado Mental Health Institute in Denver (formerly known as Fort Logan Mental Health Center). She spent her professional work in psychiatric units at a few hospitals at the inception of her career. She moved into the specialty area of physical disabilities while at Providence Health System.
