Earning a BS in general science from the University of Puerto Rico and MS in medical studies from the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine, he eventually received an MD from Ibero-American University in the Dominican Republic in 2001. Relocating to the United States soon thereafter, he completed a residency in psychiatry at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a fellowship at the University of Florida. Completing his medical training, Dr. Ventre completed an additional residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. Board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Ventre has been the chief medical officer of DreamLife Recovery Treatment Center in Donegal, Pennsylvania, since 2019, where he specializes in treating individuals with schizophrenia, depressive disorders and substance use disorders.
