227 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS CHILDREN AND FAMILIES SPECIALIST U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Mesquite, TX BRENDA CAROL YODER, PHD D evoting 20 years of service to the United States government throughout her career, Dr. Brenda Carol Yoder first served the U.S. Department of Defense before transitioning to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. In her position, she thoroughly enjoyed providing advice, assistance, and care to children and expecting mothers, and she notes that her profession was rewarding. Retiring in 2019, Dr. Yoder continues to serve her community as a church youth counselor, as well as volunteer with adult literacy programs with convicted felons and a diverse range of students. Likewise, she has taught seminars and workshops to parents, faculty and administrators within various federal programs. Drawing upon a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in financial management, Dr. Yoder obtained a PhD from Ashford University prior to embarking on her career. She has maintained affiliation with the AARP and the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, and has also been recognized by an international poets’ society for her creative works.
