A lways looking to expand her horizons and experience greater opportunities, Geraldine Reed Brown attended Fisk University, graduating summa cum laude with a BA in 1968. From there, she enrolled in Harvard University and notably earned a JD in 1971 and MBA in 1973. Commencing her career with White & Case in New York as an associate, she subsequently served J.C. Penney Co. as an attorney from 1978 to 1988. Thereafter, she was counsel for Spooner & Burnett from 1993 to 1998. Since 1989, she has been the president of the Reed-Brown Consultant Group in Montclair, New Jersey. A former educator at Montclair State University, Kean College and Seton Hall University, Ms. Brown has maintained membership with numerous committees with the American and New Jersey Bar Associations, and is a fellow of the New York State Bar Foundation. Additionally, she created group boards, presented lectures and attended dinners with the Harvard Law School Black Alumni Association, which she cites as a career highlight. Civically involved as well, Ms. Brown has participated with the Junior League of Montclair, Newark Mental Health Resources Center and St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. A respected voice in immigration law, Austin T. Fragomen Jr. has served as partner of the firm Fragomen, Del Ray, Bernsen & Loewy LLP in New York since 1970. Established in 1951, the firm first served the United States in immigration law and has since become a renowned global organization. Mr. Fragomen sits as chairman of the executive committee of the firm, drawing upon prior experience as staff counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives subcommittee on immigration, citizenship and international law. A fellow of the American Bar Foundation, Mr. Fragomen has testified before Congress on immigration issues, including before the House Ways and Means Committee’s social security subcommittee and the immigration subcommittees of the House and Senate. Authoring “Immigration Law and Business” in the Immigration Procedures Handbook, he also authored “Immigration Fundamentals.” Mr. Fragomen holds a JD from Case Western Reserve School of Law, and earned the 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award from the NewYork Law Journal and the 2018 Lifetime Service Award from the Center for Migra- tion Studies.
