Krauss has held endowed professorships at numerous institutions. Most recently, he served as a Foundation Professor in the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University. Serving from 2008 to 2019, he developed the Origins Project, a university initiative whose mission was to explore fundamental questions about the origins of humankind. In 2019, he became the president of the Origins Project Foundation, a nonprofit that hosts discussions on science, culture and society. Dr. Krauss maintains a podcast, “The Origins Podcast with Lawrence Krauss.” An established writer, Dr. Krauss has authored 11 books. “The Physics of Star Trek” and “AUniverse fromNothing” became NewYork Times best- sellers. He has authored or co-authored over 300 scientific studies and re- view articles, and has frequently appeared on television and feature films. Holding a BS in mathematics and physics, with first class honors, from Carleton University and PhD in physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Krauss earned the 2012 National Science Board’s Public Service Medal. He earned accolades from the American Physical Society, the American Institute of Physics and the AAAS. Malinin holds 28 patents in the field of tissue banking and notably established the University of Miami’s Tissue Bank. Inspired by his father to study biology, Dr. Malinin received a BS in 1955 from Concord College, and an MS in 1958 and MD in 1960, both from the University of Virginia. He also holds an honorary DSc from the University of Scranton. Notably, Dr. Malinin received the George Hyde Award from the American Association of Tissue Banks, and has contributed more than 200 articles to scholarly journals. Dr. Malinin is recognized as emeritus professor of orthopedics for his years of teaching at the University of Miami since 1970. Prior, he held teaching appointments at Georgetown University, worked at the National Cancer Institute, and was a surgeon with the U.S. Public Health Service from 1962 to 1964. Dr. Malinin currently serves as vice president of the Mannheimer Foundation, is an active member of the National Republican Committee in Washington, D.C., and is a member of his local Rotary Club.
