Mr. Shih’s greatest pleasure comes from working with people who did not believe in God, and through work and prayer, he has guided these individuals to praise Jesus. Notably, Mr. Shih has been instrumental in the conversion of people to his faith. Drawing upon an early interest in the church in light of his family’s devotion to prayer, he has carried on their belief system and has utilized his experience to help others seeking the grace of God. Alongside his primary profession, Mr. Shih has been a professional violinist since 1951 and a violin instructor since 1958. He maintains membership with the Chinese Musician’s Association. Impressively, he began performing professionally at the age of 16. S heng Yun Shih is a devoted deacon of the San Francisco True Light Baptist Church in California. Becoming a deacon in 2010, he graduated from the America Chinese Evangelical Seminary, and thus commenced his professional career in sharing the wisdom and lessons of God to his church followers. Prior to joining the True Light Baptist Church, Mr. Shih was a secretary for the San Francisco Mandarin Baptist Church in California from 2003 to 2007. Impressed continually by God’s grace, Mr. Shih was encouraged by Him to pursue his path in religious devotion. While being a deacon, he also conducts Bible study groups and dedicates his time to helping others understand God’s will within the fellowship. Involving himself in several missionary trips throughout his career, he recently traveled to Taiwan in order to help teenagers who are currently struggling without the support and guidance of parents. Earlier in his career, Mr. Shih attended People’s University of China in 1983, and received a certificate for qualification of a single subject in Logic.
