33 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT S ince the age of 4, Thomas Kipley Du Gan knew he had something special to offer, and by the age of 12, he had discovered the gift he held for speaking and leaving a powerful impact on his listeners. In his current profession, Mr. Du Gan is a master in the psychological thought processes used to sustain our day- to-day lives. For nearly 70 years from 1944 to 2013, he has served as a master of psychological thought. Additionally, Mr. Du Gan founded Bentwerth Press, a commercial risk publishing house, as sole proprietor in June of 1990. Mr. Du Gan has delivered numerous talks on psychological thought processes and has traveled nationwide in promoting his ideas and books. He is the author of the non-fiction works, “Pyramids and You,” “Through the Eyes: An Adventure through America,” “Trip across the Pond: A Personal Vietnam Experience,” “Abstract Thought” and “Through the Eyes: An Adventure in Nogales.” To add to his skillsets, Mr. Du Gan has studied pyramid phenomenon, and constructed pyramid models based on the pyramid Cheops. Awarded a Cross of Gallantry, Mr. Du Gan served with the U.S. military during the Vietnam War for one year in four divisions – all straight leg infantry, being the only person up to that time who did so. Looking back on his career, he attributes all of his success to a strong will, perseverance and tenacity, as well as great interns and an unrelenting drive to succeed. Mr. Du Gan works, lives and teaches by the phrase, “I am ignorant, and when I am ignorant, I learn.” In his free time, he enjoys painting portraits with acrylics and playing the guitar. In five years’ time, Mr. Du Gan plans to write another book explaining all of his experiences throughout his years in the publishing industry. When he was 18 years old, Mr. Du Gan had the concept for a particular type of civilization he wanted to write about. He plans for this story to be the last book he will ever write.
