Jones has been the owner of Bay Music LLC in Fairhope, Alabama, since 2014. In her position as owner, she teaches music to students as well as repairs instruments, and intends to grow the business further in five years’ time. As a professional and acclaimed musician since the age of 11, she has accrued approximately five decades of experience in the field of music. Alongside her musical endeavors, Dr. Jones is also a noted reproductive physiologist, drawing upon two PhD degrees in analytical biochemistry and reproductive physiology. With past education experience in animal science and teaching, she has served as a physiologist for livestock for several years. She has taught at the collegiate level regarding livestock nutrition. She has also conducted research in alkaline phosotase levels in young horses in the 1980s. Notably, Bay Music was named the Best Music Store in Baldwin County, Alabama, in 2020, serving as a testament to the business’ success. She advises future professionals to look at music as an art, as it can never be perfected. She opines that we must strive to make changes to create a better world. Drawing upon coursework at the Art Students League of New York, Boston Museum School of Fine Arts, the School of Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, the New England School of Photography and the Aegina Arts Center, Ms. Joy has been exhibited in numerous national and international galleries. Notably, Ms. Joy’s work has been showcased at the distinguishable Museo de Miguel de Allende in Mexico, Museum of Modern Art in New York, Toyamaya Museum in Japan, Vanderbilt Museum in New York and New Atrium Museum of the Louvre in France. An equally talented performer and poet, Ms. Joy has been featured in the 2019 edition of “American’s Leading Ladies” and was named Top Artist of 2019 by the International Association of Top Artists. She has maintained affiliation with the Actors’ Equity Association, the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and the Art Students League.
