358 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine TRANSPORTATION Drawing upon an undergraduate degree in sociology and psychology from Fort Hayes University, Anthony D. Adams pursued the trucking industry as an independent trucker, having been influenced by his grandfather’s trucking history and his mother’s diligent work ethic. After accruing 13 years in the trucking business, he spearheaded his own company in 2003, titled Iron Horse Trucking. Although his career has been abound with highlights, he is especially proud of being featured in a several trucking magazines, including Large Car Magazine, and having his trucks run for over 150,000 miles annually. The recipient of numerous Safe Driving Awards, Mr. Adams attributes his profound success to hard work and his willingness to keep moving forward despite obstacles. He advises the future generation to be willing to put in hard work and make sacrifices for the business, emphasizing that oftentimes, one has to put their own needs aside for the company to flourish. Looking toward the future, Mr. Adams intends to continue experiencing the growth and success of his career. Married to his wife Angela for many years, he has six children and one grandson. OWNER Iron Horse Trucking Hays, KS Growing up in the heart of Cleveland’s manufacturing center, Edvin Auzenbergs was interested in the technical proponents of business. He enrolled at Columbia University, where he received a BA in 1961, a BS in 1963 and an MBA in 1964. Upon graduating with his business degree, he joined TRW in Cleveland, recognized as a premier American global supplier of automotive systems, modules and components. Over the span of 30-plus years, Mr. Auzenbergs escalated through the ranks within several divisions of TRW, culminating in his most recent role as vice president of the TRW Steering, Suspension & Engine Group, the group consisting of 69 manufacturing plants in 20 different countries. Obtaining the position in 1993, he eased into a well-deserved retirement in 1998. A registered professional manufacturing engineer, Mr. Auzenbergs was a member of new plant site location searches and business acquisitions for TRW, as well as an active advisor and equity investor in the Northeastern Ohio area between 1970 and 2005. He is a past lecturer of the Cleveland Engineering Society and has been active in his local United Lutheran Church for more than 50 years. Looking forward, he intends to enjoy his retirement.
