Likewise, he has served as a licensed practitioner of Korean medicine since 2013 and is also a licensed medical doctor of Korean Medicine through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Since 2018, Dr. Jo has excelled as a clinic lead and director of the Chungku Kyung Hee Oriental Medicine Clinic in Incheon, South Korea. Earlier in his career, he served as the chief of the Korean medical department at the Danaheal Premium Senior Hospital, a clinical physician at Leadhead Hospital and the director of the Association of Integrative Korean Medicine, among other prominent roles. He commenced his career in 2005 as the head researcher and clinic director of the Vista Clinic, and continued to serve in executive-level positions as his career progressed. Through his practice, he specializes in the treatment of spinal and joint problems, cerebrovascular diseases and degenerative diseases using acupuncture. Outside of his primary endeavors, Dr. Jo was an associate research fellow at the Korea Health Promotion Institute. He has published several research papers and periodicals, such as “Changing Aspects of Health Promotion in Korean Medicine: The Past, Present and Future” in 2017. Furthermore, he served in the Korean Augmentation to the U.S. Army at the U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys in South Korea. For his service, he received an Appreciation Award in 2012. Dr. Jo received two Contribution Awards from the president of the Seoul Korean Medicine Association in 2012 and 2013 and a Career Appreciation Award in 2013. In 2016, he received theGrandPrize for Outstanding Papers fromKyung Hee University. Looking forward, he intends to expand his influence to Johns Hopkins University and the Mayo Clinic in the United States. In childhood, Dr. Jae Kyung Jo exhibited a passion for the care and welfare of human beings, thus establishing his desire to become a medical doctor. He received a BS in geosystem science from Seoul National University in 2001.
