She aspires to incorporate the latest technologies available to care for her patients. She assists both patients and physicians in understanding and utilizing this revolutionary gene test that determines if a patient is on the right drug, at the right dose, for their specific DNA. By working with labs, she is able to provide this test that has been proven to save lives and improve outcomes to anyone. At the inception of her career, Dr. Johnson was a clinical staff pharmacist at Druid City Hospital Regional Medical Center, and then transitioned to Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama, where she practiced as a clinical staff pharmacist. Following her departure, she served as a retail pharmacist, and then continued to excel as a clinical staff pharmacist in Home Infusion Services. Dr. Lolettima O. Johnson first garnered inspiration for her future during her formative years. At a young age, she endured a medical accident that rendered her temporarily blind. During treatment and recovery, she developed an interest in the healing mechanisms of medicine. Enjoying an early interest in mathematics and the sciences, she narrowed her sights on the pharmaceutical industry. In 2007, she earned her PharmD from Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy. She went on to add several professional certificates to her credit. Attaining certificates in immunization, Total Parenteral Nutrition and Medication Therapy Management allowed her to improve the level of care she delivered to her patients. Early in her career, Dr. Johnson was diagnosed with severe Vitamin D deficiency, which greatly diminished her quality of life. Due to the severity of symptoms and link to other health conditions, she hopes that health care coverage and physician testing of vitamin D levels will become the standard of care for all age groups within the African American community, which DR.
