DANFORTH, MD Dr. David N. Danforth was inspired to enter the field of medicine by his parents, who were both medical practitioners. Desiring to help others, he earned an MD from Northwestern University in 1971 and subsequently completed an internship and residency at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center by 1979. Excelling in these experiences, he became a clinical associate at the National Institutes of Health for three years. After completing his residency, Dr. Danforth served theMDAnderson Cancer Center as a surgical fellow and the National Institutes of Health as a senior staff fellow. As such, he began his tenure with the National Cancer Institute in 1985, where he first served as a senior investigator. Since 2012, he has been an associate research physician. Likewise, he has contributed more than 100 publications to scientific journals and chapters to books. Recognized for his excellence in studying the biology of breast cancer and the development of revolutionary procedures for the treatment and prevention of metastatic cancers, Dr. Danforth is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Notably, he also received a fellowship from the American Cancer Society between 1979 and 1980. Garnering a great respect for physicians from a young age, Dr. Thomas G. Dehn desired to enter radiology due to its exciting and mechanical nature. Receiving an MD from the Marquette School of Medicine in 1969, he completed a residency in radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1973 before entering private practice. Dr. Dehn served in private practice for two decades before forming a multi-million dollar radiology benefits management company, and since 2014, he has formed and serves as president of Dehn Medical, A Healthcare Consulting Service, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Notably, Dr. Dehn has testified on a number of occasions regarding health care quality and costs before the Senate Finance Committee of Health. He is a fellow of the American College of Radiology and a member of the American Medical Association. To attest to his success and longevity in the field, he was named Physician of the Year and was featured in Imaging Economics in December of 2003. Additionally, he was named an Outstanding Young Medical Person by the Milwaukee Jaycees in 1980.
