After relocating to San Francisco, California, she served as a public affairs staff newscaster for KQED and KPIX from 1963 to 1965. Thereafter, she excelled as one of the first female newscasters in the Bay Area and an investigative reporter for KNTV in San Jose, California, from 1968 to 1972 – a poignant point in her career which she considers to be a vocational highlight. Alongside her endeavors in broadcasting, Ms. Prozan was equally interested in law during her collegiate studies. After receiving her law degree from UC Berkeley, she was admitted to practice in the State of California, and soon thereafter, opened her private practice in Burlingame, California, in 1976. Practicing law for 22 years, she retired from law in 1998. Congruent to her practice, Ms. Prozan served as an adjunct professor at the John F. Kennedy Law School from 1979 to 1982. She was also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States in 1980. As a woman in male-dominated fields, Ms. Prozan is especially proud of persevering in the face of obstacles and emerging from her struggles with integrity and stride. She credits her husband’s support for her success, to whom she has been married for nearly 65 years. Additionally, she has maintained affiliation with the California Trial Lawyers Association, the State Bar of California and the San Francisco Bar Association. In light of her legacy and longevity in the fields of law and television, Ms. Prozan was highlighted in the fourth and fifth editions of Who’s Who in American Law, as well as the 15th edition of Who’s Who of American Women.
