After moving to the NCIS Headquarters, he advanced through the ranks to a senior intelligence officer with the Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington, D.C., from 1992 until his retirement in 2019. Post-retirement, Mr. Britvec has excelled as the chief executive officer of Kel Britvec Consulting LLC since 2019. During his time spent with the government, Mr. Britvec was a former congressional staffer for Representative Howard Wolpe and Senator Debbie Stabenow and also taught at the Defense Intelligence School, where he lent his expertise to lectures regarding intelligence analysis. Throughout the course of his career, he has traveled worldwide, including to Bosnia, where he spoke to the Bosnian government about Iranian support for terrorism against Western forces. Although his career has been filled with highlights, he is especially proud of receiving the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Director Award, during which time he had the pleasure of shaking the hand of former President Bill Clinton. A member of the Special Forces Club of London, Mr. Britvec has contributed his time civically as well, becoming a charitable member of Major League Baseball, and a contributor to the Kirk Gibson Foundation and the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Likewise, he has written and is the process of promoting and selling a book regarding the first Christian crusade to Jerusalem. Prior to embarking on his career, Mr. Britvec pursued a formal education at Central Michigan University, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and political science in 1982. He later on achieved a Master of Arts in Slavic and Eastern European studies at Florida State University and obtained a postgraduate management degree from the University of London. Looking toward the future, he intends to run for Congress. Desiring to delve into intelligence operations in light of his pursuit to defend his country, Kel Jacobs Britvec spent a resounding 34 years in intelligence analysis.
