285 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine LAW AND LAW ENFORCEMENT After earning a JD from the University of Nebraska in 1981, Jerry Lee Pigsley began serving as a clerk and executive director of the Nebraska Commission of Industrial Relations for two years. Shortly thereafter, he became an associate for Nelson & Harding in Lincoln, Nebraska, from 1983 to 1988 and for Heron, Burchette, Ruckert & Rothwell from 1989 to 1990. He joined Harding & Ogborn in 1990 as an associate, and in 1991, progressed to the rank of shareholder. Mr. Pigsley served as a shareholder for Harding, Schultz & Downs from 1996 to 2006 and for Harding & Schultz from 2007 to 2015. Since 2015, he has excelled as a partner with Woods Aitken LLP. Mr. Pigsley has been admitted to practice law in the State of Nebraska, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of Nebraska. Mr. Pigsley served as a chapter editor for The Fair Labor Standards Act in 1999, as well as a monthly contributor to Lincoln Independent Business Association News & Views. Additionally, he contributes to the Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association’s magazine and the Lincoln Human Resource Management Association’s magazine. Notably, he was elected a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers in 2017, which he cites as a highlight of his career. As a testament to his success, Mr. Pigsley was named to Best Lawyers in Labor Law Management in 2021, has held an AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale-Hubbell since 2002, and has been named a Great Plains Super Lawyer in Employment and Labor Law since 2007. Furthermore, he was recognized among the Top 1% by the American Registry from 2018 to 2020 and as “Boss of the Year” by the Lincoln Legal Professionals Association in 2018, and has recently been listed as a Top Rated Litigator by MartindaleHubbell in 2020.
