148 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENERGY, ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING Following in his father’s footsteps, coupled with his curiosity of how mechanisms worked, Brian Black desired to become an engineer. Attending Pennsylvania State University, he received a Bachelor of Science in plastics and polymer engineering in 2012. At the inception of his career in 2011, he began serving Husky Injection Molding Systems as a process engineer for four years. Since 2015, he has excelled as a senior engineer, tooling engineer and process engineer for Performance Plastics in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Black attributes his success to hard work and his innate drive to keep pressing forward. Although his career has been abound with highlights, he is especially proud of the projects he has designed, noting that several manufacturers have claimed they their materials cannot be molded. Despite this, Mr. Black and his team have been able to do so, setting the foundation of his success. Looking toward the future, he intends to progress further within the company of Performance Plastics and conduct work on the management side of the business. Born in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, in 1988, Mr. Black has one daughter, Pollyanna. Millennium Magazine Featured Listee SENIOR, TOOLING AND PROCESS ENGINEER Performance Plastics Blue Ash, OH Enjoying practical applications from an early age, Kelvin Carter decided to enter the field of engineering as it is a hands-on profession. Coupled with the diversity of engineering projects, he developed an innate understanding of engineering and design to accommodate his clients’ needs. Starting out as a project manager for Quest Media & Supplies, Inc., in 1997, he went on to serve as a technology program manager for Capital Program Management in 2004 and the owner of Carter Technology Design in 2012. From 2012 to 2015, he was a senior consultant for Angus-Hamer, Inc., and from 2015 to 2020, he served LPA, Inc., as a technology project manager and managing director of technology engineering. Since 2020, Mr. Carter has excelled as the senior technology manager of LP Consulting Engineers. Mr. Carter attributes his success to his drive to succeed and diligent work ethic. Although his career has been filled with highlights, he is exceptionally proud of accomplishing projects to the best of his ability, noting that 95% of his projects have been successful.
