Ziesmer began his career with the U.S. Air Force (in which he served his final four years in SAC) from 1955 to 1966. Upon his honorable discharge, he began working for Honeywell EDP for two years prior to various jobs in Arlington, Texas, while attending the University of Texas at Austin. From 1966 to 1976, he bought Westwood Electronics, a Magnavox sales and service company, and was chief engineer of KXOL AM-FM in Fort Worth, Texas. Moving to New England, he was production manager for Dalaur, Inc., in Needham, Massachusetts, then spent four years as a junior engineer for Data Translation, Inc., in Marlboro, Massachusetts. Joining ADE Corporation in 1984, where he began his career in silicon metrology, he served in Boston, San Jose and Dallas, Texas, until his retirement in 1994. Post-retirement, Mr. Ziesmer served as a consultant until 2017, when he completely retired. His affinity for troubleshooting and solving problems under pressure took him to countries worldwide, including Scotland, France, Italy, Germany, Russia and Israel, as well as most of Asia. He has maintained affiliation with the PRRT&HS, as well as founding the New England Chapter.
