Noting that the experience solidified his belief that there were still good people in the world who are willing to help others, he decided to pursue higher education in the field. Attending Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, he received a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics in 1995. While there, he served as the chief justice of the Residence Hall Judicial Board and as a resident advisor for four years. Subsequently, Mr. Beets graduated from the Oklahoma City University School of Law with a JD in 1998, where during his studies, he was a staff editor of the university’s law review and a member of the Moot Court Honors Board. While attending law school, Mr. Beets notably worked full-time as an associate with Steece, Mathews & Associates, PPLC, beginning in 1996, and upon his law school graduation, already accrued experience in representing clients at hearings and jury trials. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Oklahoma in 1997. In 2001, Mr. Beets commenced his first private firm, Beets & Yanda PLLC, where he remained until 2007. For the following four years, he served as a managing partner of Beets McNaughton PLLC prior to establishing Midtown Attorneys, P.C., in 2011, where he remains today. Throughout his career, Mr. Beets has exemplified a versatile and diverse caseload, representing clients in cases of civil rights regarding sex, disability, race, religion and age, as well as complex business and real estate litigation, medical malpractice and products liability. In light of his expertise and success in the field, he has been broadcasted in the media through local television programs and newspapers, and he also contributes his wealth of knowledge to seminars, presentations and continuing education programs. As a testament to his success, Mr. Beets was named among the Top 17 Divorce Attorneys in Oklahoma City and rated among the Top Three Real Estate Attorneys in Oklahoma City.
