This development is a culmination of his experience serving the Central Intelligence Agency, U.S. Department of Justice, National Economic Research Associates, National Academy of Sciences, U.S. Sentencing Commission, Medical Review Systems, Inc., and Centris, Inc., between 1970 and 1999. Mr. Jones chaired the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI), later serving as chair of the WEDI Foundation. Later, he started three Cornichon Healthcare companies, specializing in applications of electronic standards to improve health care transactions and data safety. In 2009, he cofounded HIPAA, LLC, bought HIPAA.com, and established HIPAA School for online HIPAA Safeguard Training in a strategic partnership with the American Medical Association. Mr. Jones has written 10 books on security and privacy for the American Medical Association and American Dental Association, including the best-selling book, “HIPAA Plain & Simple” in three editions. During his tenure at Cornichon Healthcare Select, LLC, he designed HIPAA Integrity®, a HIPAA Safeguard solution for health care providers, which later became the initial CAIPHI SaaS product, CyPHIcomply® (now CAIPHI ComplyTM) and is now the platform companion to its emergency preparedness product, CAIPHI PrepareTM. Mr. Jones holds a BA in economics from the University of Chicago and an MA in economics from Washington University in St. Louis. He has served as a founding commissioner for nine years of the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission. His most satisfying board experience was chair of Capitol Hill Day School in Washington, D.C., which during his tenure completed financing and construction of a new campus that thrives today.
