An acclaimed publishing company in South Carolina, YBR Publishing provides authors with such services as editing, design, printing solutions and multimedia marketing. Mr. Gannon is credited with maintaining the company website, which allows readers to purchase authors’ books and subscribe to the company’smonthly online newsletter. Prior, Mr. Gannon served for 25 years with The Beaufort Gazette and The Island Packet – career endeavors he has leveraged to maintain his current success. Aprolific author himself, Mr. Gannon first published an autobiography, “I Walked in Santa’s Boots,” prior to authoring and co-authoring several other novels. In 2012, he co-authored with Cyndi Williams-Barnier “Murders in Two’s and Threes,” and they have since published 10 books in their “Task Force” murder-mystery series and “InSpectre” paranormal series, which garnered their book “The Lactrodectus Murders” a Five Star Rating from Readers Favorite LLC. Mr. Gannon holds a BA in communications fromWinthrop University. Looking forward, he intends to publish his first children’s book and the next book in the “Task Force” series. Initially starting out as an attorney, Abby Ginzberg desired to tell stories to a broader audience and switched her profession to filmmaking. Focusing her efforts on inspirational figures who were often overlooked in society, she has directed a number of awardwinning films since commencing her production company in 1983. Her most recent films, “Waging Change” in 2019, about the need to end the federal tipped minimum wage of $2.13 for restaurant workers, and “Barbara Lee Speaks for Me” in 2020, about Congresswoman Barbara Lee, who has been one of the most progressive members of Congress for over two decades, are timely films about race and economic equity. Winning many accolades throughout her career, including a Peabody award for her film “Soft Vengeance: Albie Sachs and the New South Africa,” Ms. Ginzberg is notable for bridging the gap between law and the arts, as her documentaries often depict historical events in a new light. “And Then They Came for Us” in 2017, which links the incarceration of 120,000 Japanese Americans to the Muslim travel ban, garnered a Silver Gavel Award from the American Bar Association.
