After receiving an AS in liberal arts and sciences from El Centro College, Mr. Shaw received a BS in mechanical engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Subsequently, he obtained a BS in Secondary Education in English and history from Paul Quinn College, as well as an MEd in educational supervision and administration from Prairie View A&MUniversity. Mr. Shaw has worked for numerous companies, including as a writer for AppleOne, an assistant principal, an academic coordinator at Paul Quinn College, and a principal at Clay Academy. He also excelled as a college administrator, campus administrator and English teacher at numerous different schools, where he discovered the significance of education. Specifically, he developed an understanding of establishing lifelong relationships with students whom he taught. Presently, Mr. Shaw flourishes as the owner of RESCORP Properties, LLC, where he oversees daily operations, including marketing, construction, development and financial and real estate properties. In addition, he is the founder of Rich Publishing House, an independent publishing company that serves aspiring novelists and writers who desire to gain exposure to their work. Mr. Shaw is an acclaimed writer himself, having authored books including “Habits of the Highly Effective Entrepreneur,” PASSIONAIRE,” “FRENEMIES,” “TRAPPED BEHIND AN OPENED DOOR” and “HIDDEN TREASURE.” Mr. Shaw has been highlighted in Forbes and Business Week. He was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame for his 12 patents, stemming from his manufacturing of the payment terminal equipped to vending machines to manage transactions from bankcards. He earned two Prestigious Industrial Design Excellence Awards. Exposed to entrepreneurship early on, Richard E. Shaw (Rich E. Shaw) learned leadership skills by watching his grandparents, in which his grandfather and great-grandfather both owned businesses.
