Tillman, Esq., has excelled as the founding partner and attorney of Tillman and Associates since 1991. Established in Atlanta, Georgia, Tillman and Associates practices within the areas of worker’s compensation and tort litigation as they relate to medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, automobile and truck accidents, and products liability. Prior to establishing his own firm, Mr. Tillman served as a partner of Buchanan and Tillman from 1987 to 1991 and as an attorney with various other major law firms. Drawing upon a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University in 1971, Mr. Tillman also holds a JD from the University of Georgia School of Law from 1979, where he was appointed to the Order of the Barristers and was chairman of the law school’s Moot Court Board. Admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia, he has also been a registered mediator and arbitrator through the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution since 2007. He possesses more than 40 years of overall experience in law, providing him a plethora of experience in the representation of both insurance companies and injured parties. Notably, Mr. Tillman is a frequent speaker on worker’s compensation and legal ethics at various seminars and continuing legal education events, including for the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Claims Association. Civically, he gives back through the Atlanta Boys Choir as chairman of the board of directors, and also serves as a member of Kid’s Chance and the Alumni Men’s Choir of the ABC. As a testament to his success, Mr. Tillman has earned an AV Peer-Review Rating through Martindale-Hubbell, and more recently, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from America’s Top 100 LLC and was named Worker’s Compensation Attorney of the Year, Mediator of the Year and a Top 100 Diplomate, all in 2019. Earlier, he was named a fellow of the College of Worker’s Compensation Lawyers in 2018, was inducted into the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals in 2016, and was named to Georgia’s Top Lawyers by Atlanta Magazine in 2013 and 2014.
