She subsequently received a BFA in acting, magna cum laude, from Loyola Marymount University-Los Angeles. Ms. DeVries has worked as a professional voice actor since 2017 and is represented by the MDT Agency in San Francisco. From her professional home studio, she has voiced numerous commercials, PSAs, corporate and medical narrations, and animated explainer videos. Demonstrating versatility in her field, she also performed as lead actress in “Taming of the Shrew,” “Kiss Me Kate,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “The Marriage Proposal,” “Hamlet” and “Three Sisters.” She has been fortunate to study with prominent voice actors and coaches, including David Alden, Dave Walsh, Joan Baker, Bob Bergen, Marc Cashman, Elaine Clark, J. Michael Collins and Mary Lynn Wissner. Ms. DeVries is currently the owner of Deb DeVries VO. Previously, she served as president of DJD&Associates, senior sales trainingmanager for DHL Express, and global sales and customer training manager for AMPEX Corp. Before that, she was a presentation and customer training manager for AT&T, where she was responsible for delivering technical sales presentations to the decision makers of AT&T’s top national accounts. Ms. DeVries received two Telly Awards for the development of a self-paced curriculum delivered for the AMPEX global salesforce in 1992. Most recently, she was inducted into Distinguished Leadership Who’s Who in 2020. She maintains affiliation with the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences (SOVAS), the Global Voice Acting Academy (GVAA) and the World-Voices Organization (WoVO). Describing acting as the art of storytelling and documenting the human experience, Deb DeVries was influenced by her father, an entrepreneur and independent movie theatre manager.
