Dr. Forster’s research skills were honed as he worked with a strong group of mathematical economists studying dynamic economic systems at the Australian National University. In 1973 he returned to Guelph as an assistant professor in the economics department and progressed to the rank of professor in 1983. During his career at the university he served as a visiting faculty member at the universities of British Columbia, Wyoming and Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. In 1987, he joined the economics faculty at the University of Wyoming and in 1991 was appointed dean of the College of Business. He left Wyoming in 2000 to be dean of the School of Management at Arizona State University’s west campus. In 2005, he became dean of the College of Business and Technology at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and retired from UNK in June 2009. Dr. Forster is the author or co-author of three books and over 50 professional articles. After retiring, he resumed his scholarly work focusing on global issues in general, producing a dozen publications. C oming from a family that was interested in education, science, mathematics, engineering and technology, James Mark Fragomeni was bound to embark on a career as a mechanical engineer and educator. Before gaining 20 years of experience in the field, Dr. Fragomeni obtained a Bachelor of Science in metallurgical engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Science in engineering, and a Ph.D. from Purdue University. He began his career as a summer research intern at the Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation Research Center. From 1985 to 1986, he worked for the United States Steel Corporation as a management associate engineer. Wanting to share his knowledge with future engineers, Dr. Fragomeni ventured into education as an assistant professor at the University of Alabama, Ohio University and the University of Detroit Mercy. Throughout his fruitful career, he has conducted research on aluminum-lithium alloys for aerospace application and titanium alloys for biomedical applications, and contributed articles and scientific papers to professional journals and conferences. Dr. Fragomeni’s success is attributed to his ability to work hard, stay focused and be goal- oriented to complete the projects and tasks at hand.
