487 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine A cademic administrators like Linda Morton have the responsibility of ensuring that all of the components that make a successful school are functioning properly and that the student population is getting the best education possible. Ms. Morton obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science from George Peabody College, a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University, and certifications as a career ladder III teacher, music teacher, English teacher, and educational administrator, making her well-equipped to tackle the job. She began her educational career as a teacher of high school English and music for Metro Nashville Public Schools, where she served throughout her career. She continued to excel within the district, ending her time there as an assistant principal in 2000. During her academic tenure, she wrote and compiled seventh-grade music curriculum outlines and chaired the curriculum committee for the 10- year Southern Association of Colleges and School (SACS) evaluation at McGavock High School. She was also a special education principal’s advisory committee member for Metro Nashville Public schools, and chair of a principals group in the McGavock Cluster. A s a training and development executive, Eileen Anne Mullen is responsible for identifying staff training and developmental needs, as well as planning, organizing and overseeing appropriate training. Before beginning her career in training and management, Ms. Mullen educated adolescents as a certified teacher in Pennsylvania. With a Bachelor of Science in English from Saint Joseph’s University and a Master of Arts in English from Villanova University, she taught at St. Anastasia School from 1960 to 1967 and at West Catholic Girls High School from 1967 to 1974. Her diverse skill set allowed her to transition easily into her role as the manager of staff training and development for the American Society for Testing and Materials International, where she later served as director of human resources and has been the personnel director since 2011. A former speech and communications instructor at Widener University, Ms. Mullen has also shared her expertise as the author of articles on communications training programs and a member of the American Society for Training and Development.
