133 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine A s a certified parent effectiveness therapist, youth effectiveness therapist, play therapist, school counselor and cash flow consultant, Joan Evans Ferry has dedicated over 50 years to all avenues of her career. Before completing her education, she worked as an industrial photographer for Buckso Manufacturing Co, Inc., from 1958 to 1959. After leaving the company, she embarked on a career in education as a math and German tutor for St. Lawrence University from 1959 to 1961. Two years later, she became a research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science. Her departure from the institution preceded her serving as an elementary school teacher from 1964 to 1977, and as an elementary school counselor for the Pennridge School District from 1979 to 2001. She also excelled as chair of a child study team and has been a private practice counselor since 1981. Venturing out of education, she became an editor for the Princeton Publishing Group, owner of Capital Funding Solutions and a self- employed cash flow consultant. Ms. Ferry has also been a supervisory teacher for East Stroudsburg University, an adjunct faculty member at Bucks County Community College, and an instructor for the American Institute of Banking. She has authored and co-authored books on various subjects and has given back to her community tremendously, while her tireless efforts and dedication have resulted in immense recognition and accolades.
